The IDL software to view the VIS images in the CDF can be retrieved
via the world wide web from
http://vis.physics.uiowa.edu/vis/software/release.
You will need to unzip the file using appropriate software for your operating system.
This will produce the files xvis.pro - IDL source code, lv.dat - a binary data file, and five IDL binary files created
using the IDL SAVE procedure: ecpsav.dat, ff4sav.dat, ff5sav.dat, fflrsav.dat, and lrpsav.dat.
The software has been tested on an SGI 02 running IRIX 6.3 and on a DEC Alpha running
OpenVMS v7.3-2, and on Windows 7. The program has been written to avoid system dependencies
but has not been tested on a wide variety of platforms.
